After the failure of HCR 6008 during the 2025 Legislative Session, meetings were held across South Dakota to discuss the opportunity.

HCR 6008 aimed to support the inclusion of South Dakota in future Amtrak and passenger rail feasibility studies. While the resolution did not advance, the discussion it started remains important.

This webinar, hosted in partnership with All Aboard Northwest, is designed to educate industry and community leaders on the opportunities rail connectivity can bring to South Dakota’s economy and tourism industry.
